A Winter Rose From My Garden

Very high winds last night brought bitter cold. The squirrels, rabbits, birds, and other little bits of life must be crouched low against my frozen yard; and I wondered yet again how is it that I am safe today, when most are not? Amazingly, I find a winter rose in a sheltered spot.
