Happy New Year 2019 !!!

Old people tend to think of themselves as setting an example for the next generations, but the relationship is reciprocal. I feel the influence of the edgiest kids, even if only to shock me. Which must delight them. Some have always decorated themselves with ironic, iconic skulls and now they have the capability to outfit their computer game avatars with mocking skulls (shudder, shudder, shudder).

I set out to create some joyous new year art for this blog post, but instead I find a scintillating skull has appeared under my hand, reminiscent of those death heads popular with edgy youth today. I hope it portents nothing in particular, simply that the turn of the year is again a little scary. What will this new year bring?
