Some people are weak and they actually like the one-year-plus COVID-19 confinement, saying "Oh, I doubt we'll ever get back to normal. This is the new normal." If they work, it is easier for them to work from the comfortable confinement of their own home where expectations are lower, and pesky co-workers and demanding bosses are remote. The stay-at-homes were pleased with the little bit of confinement compensation money that the government twice sent to them, and they are quite willing to stay at home and see if there is more free money coming. These people are cowards in life.
