I Adopted Achilles

At the Kennebec Valley Humane Society Achilles the cat said "Get me out of here!", so I adopted him.  I kept the name they gave him, Achilles, named for strongest, bravest, and most handsome warrior in the ancient Greek army because this cat is so amazing.  Even his lower legs have bulging muscles.  He is very strong.  His paperwork says that Achilles is two years old, and he is very confident and self-controlled.  He seems to have only the thinnest layers of fat over his budging muscles.  Achilles is bluff in color, and he is definitely buff in body build.  He is very powerful but he is all cat.  The day I adopted him I piled lots of new cat toys in the middle of my living room floor and set the paper bag aside.  Achilles spent the evening playing in and out of the free paper bag.  He often jumps into my lap and lays down purring.  Right now he is laying on the table that I set up for him at the open window, gazing though the screen.  He seems okay with being an indoor cat.   I look into his lion-yellow eyes and wonder if this curious cat has bobcat heritage because he is so thick and muscular.

* Achilles is known for being the strongest, bravest, and most handsome warrior in the Greek army, and is considered invincible in battle. However, he is also said to be prone to anger and recklessness, which can have dire consequences for both his allies and his enemies."  Random Internet Source

**  Random Internet Source:  "Crossbreeding between domesticated cats and bobcats is not currently possible. While there have been reports of possible breeding, no genetically proven hybrid offspring have been recorded. DNA testing is the only way to determine a cat's genetics."  ... but still, look at all those muscles!
