Mild cataracts and a visually temperamental brain* have stolen my ability to love books. Recently I bought a few reference books just to have a comforting stack of them at hand. Among my purchases were these little treasures:

Mushrooms of the Northeast : A Simple Guide to Common Mushrooms $15.05

Recognizing Trees of the Northeast $17.58

Wild Plants of Maine : A Useful Guide Third Edition $22.11

* Gee, I did not even know I had one of these: "Visuospatial Sketchpad is a component of Working Memory Model proposed by Alan Baddeley and Graham Hitch in 1974 . The visuospatial sketchpad (VS) is the section of one's normal mental facility which provides a virtual environment for physical simulation, calculation, visualization and optical memory recall."
