When I thanked a volunteer staffer for her work at AFB, she said somewhat haughtily that she is "proud to be an AFB volunteer. I said nothing because interacting with her was not making me feel proud. Another volunteer staffer came up to me and offered to help me find what I needed but I backed as far away as possible from her prominent nasal drip, laden with germs. I guess she was too was so proud to volunteer that she could not keep her germs at home. Now I too have germy nasal drip and I stay at home.

"The USDA says that while rare, dented cans can lead to botulism which is a deadly form of food poisoning that attacks the nervous system. Symptoms include double vision, droopy eyelids, trouble swallowing and difficulty breathing. Leaking and bulging cans can also be signs of expired canned food."
