My Peonies In Bloom

Already it is too hot (above 80º Fahrenheit) for frail old me to work in my yard for more than a few minutes, meaning that I have to get done what needs to be done in less than fifteen minutes. Today I worked up a lather trimming out the depleted iris stalks. It feels good to warm my muscles, it feels bad to gasp for air. I am happy to see my magenta peonies in full bloom.
