Wildlife ID

For decades I carried these two wildlife identification handkerchiefs.  I referred to them on many walks, hikes, and climbs of the outlying areas of the towns and cities in which I lived, until I thoroughly knew the scat and footprints of the creatures who live so near to us and yet are so elusive, leaving only these traces of their passing by.  I have had a quietly thrilling life.

This year I gave my hankies to the twenty-something engineer who lives nearby, may they bring him also those quiet thrills.
